1) Why did you choose this particular recreation and how does it link to your main production?
I chose this as my recreation as it links to my linked production, as I am going to be making a documentary style video. As my critical investigation is on GTA my production will also be based on GTA. Furthermore this is the only official documentary that I found on gaming, specifically because it had GTA in it.
2) What difficulties did you face in producing this recreation?
When creating the recreation, getting the camera angles was a problem as we had a faulty tripod. The lighting was also a problem as we filmed when it was dark outside, so there was no natural lighting, thus we had to use artificial lighting, which created a different feel and didn't match the lighting in the recreation.
3) What are the strengths of the production?
I would say that the strengths of my recreation were that I got the script right and the lines were easy to say, thus making it more like the original. Also I think that the fact that I was able to get the original archive material, also added to my recreation.
4) What aspects would you look to improve?
4) What aspects would you look to improve?
When making my actual production I will ensure that I film at the correct time so that I can get the lighting right, I will also make sure that the equipment that we use isn't broken. Furthermore there will be a lot more planning that happens before I start filming so that it reduces the amount of mistakes that are made.
5) What lessons will you take from this process that will help you with your main production?
